Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day in Rome with a tour of the Eternal City

March 17th is Saint Patrick’s Day! On this day the Irish community celebrates the patron saint of Ireland. In Italy, as in many other countries, it is a tradition to toast the famous Saint with friends and a pint of beer.

If you will be in Rome on Saturday, March 17, should you want to mix beer and Italian culture, here’s a nice tour you can take, so that you can make a toast with your friends in a real Irish pub and honor the patron of Ireland, while sightseeing in the beautiful city of Rome. It will be a unique experience!

It is a 5 km tour, that will take you into the spirit of the Roman empire and of the beauty of the Città Eterna (The Eternal City)while enjoying real Irish beer, and, should you like it, a Six-nations rugby match between Scotland and Italy (Stadio Olimpico), whose coach is Irishman Conor O’Shea. A good chance to support the Italian national team.

The pubs listed below are real Irish Pubs, where you can celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day together with English speaking people, in the real Irish spirit!

Here follows a “challenging” tour of the famous Irish pubs in Rome that we think you could enjoy, which will allow you to see the architectural beauties of the Italian capital while going from one pub to another, or, let’s say, in between toasts!

The starting point is The Druid’s Den Pub in Via di San Martino ai Monti, 28, in the Monti area, that you can reach via METRO A (stop PIAZZA VITTORIO), or METRO B (stop CAVOUR).
